Pulse Crop Revenue Insurance Program

The South Dakota Pulse Crop Council (SDPCC) was developed in 2006 by the South Dakota Legislature.
A refundable checkoff of one percent of the net value of a pulse crop at the first point of sale was adopted.

The Secretary of SD Department of AG and Natural Resources appoints five pulse producers from across the State to administer these funds. The overall mission is to facilitate the growth and development of the pulse crop industry in South Dakota.
